Olure O. Amos is a seasoned civil servant with administrative skills dynamic both in conventional and in specialized Maritime Safety and Environmental Administrator (MSEA) with proper skills in management. He is a maritime expert, with vast experience in diverse field in human endeavours, and a result-driven professional with strong teamwork and leadership skills that add value, adapt fast and consistently deliver results with communication, problem -solving and team leadership.
Since joining the Federal Civil Service, he has worked in Federal Ministry of Transport where he started his career, Presidential Amnesty Programmes and Ministry of Police Affairs.
He has attended several professional safety, maritime courses and administrative courses within and outside the shores of Nigeria such as International Seminar on Ports & Freight Railway Management, International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code/SOLAS, Fundamentals of International Safety Management Code, Diploma in Vicking Life Savings Maritime Equipment Training, Pilot Course on Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement of Ballast Water Management Convention, Disarmament, Demobilisation & Reintegration For Peace Building Mechanism, Training Program on Support the Objective of Digital Transformation and to drive paperless Policy initiative, Sensitization Workshop on the Management of Online Training for DTOs in MDAs and others.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Maritime Safety and Environmental Adminstration from World Maritime University Malmo, Sweden and a 1st Degree in Geography from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State. He is a member or has professional certifications to the following professional bodies Institute of Management Consultant, Auditor of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Member State Audit Scheme, International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code/SOLAS, International Safety Management Code Certification, Monitoring and Enforcement of Ballast Water Management Convention.
He hails from Yagba-west of Kogi State and married with three (3) children.
He is Presently the Director, General Services in the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture Tourism and the Creative Economy.
